Course Objectives
· To emulate as much as possible the rigor of a collegiate classroom and to encourage students to become life-long learners.
· The student will have the thinking skills, academic endurance, and intellectual discipline for success at the next level.
· The student will respond to various texts by employing both personal experiences and critical analysis.
· The student will compose a variety of literature in different forms.
· The student will become familiar with various forms of technology that is necessary for success of the next level.

· Throughout the course we will use various forms of technology to advance and enrich our educational experience.

Course Description
This course seeks to provide the students with various opportunities to think, write, and have discussions about a variety of subjects and topics. Students will demonstrate an awareness of purpose, audience and environment, in a way that will support college, career, and social readiness. This course will also emphasize the use and practice of: analytical, expository, argumentative, personal, and reflective writing. Writing evaluation emphasis will be placed on content, purpose, and audience appeal. Students are expected to publish final documents when called for (i.e. typed papers).
